SWANA
Since 2021, I have been working remotely for the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA), a global organization based in Silver Spring, Maryland, with over 10,000 members. SWANA is dedicated to advancing solid waste management through education, advocacy, and research and is the largest member-based association in the field, operating through 47 chapters. Below are a few examples of the work I have created for SWANA, beyond the national conferences.
My Role: Media Designer
Remotely create and update both printed and digital materials, including logos, signage, and member-focused collateral for recruitment, retention, and program support.
Collaborate on cross-departmental creative projects, translating ideas into effective designs while managing project scopes and deadlines.
Ensure alignment with SWANA’s branding guidelines, preparing print specifications, and coordinating with vendors.
Handle media partner advertising, develop presentations and infographics, manage photography and videography.
Lead social media campaigns, including content creation, post scheduling, and analytics.
Design and manage the branding for SWANA’s annual national conferences.
